Who We Are

Franco Abbate

Certified Dog Behavior Consultant

“I have been raising dogs for most of my life and trained each of my four dogs. Like most of you, I struggled with obedience so I understand the confusion, anger and frustration associated with teaching dogs obedience."

This led me to researching and reading more about dog training so that I could become a more responsible dog owner.

In 2006, I watched an episode of ‘The Dog Whisperer’ with Cesar Millan, and it changed my life and personal goals. So I began getting certified in Dog Psychology and Behavior Modification Training. I am fascinated by how and what dogs think, what their body language tells us, why they act the way they do, and ultimately what their needs are.

Jake Voss

Jake Voss has been working with me for almost 2 years now, but I’ve known him since he was born. He’s the son of my best friend of over 40 years and was so happy when he told me that he wanted to train dogs just like me! So I took him under my wing and got him certified, worked with him hands on working with my clients dogs, teaching him not only how to train dogs but also how to work the owners and helping them understand what their dogs needed from them! I’m so proud of the progress he’s made and the reputation that he’s build for himself, and the Happy K9 Club New Jersey location in such a short period of time!! And also jealous that I didn’t start at his age.

"Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen! - Orhan Pamuk

As I began to see more success with my dogs, I helped my friends successfully train their own dogs, though I never thought of it as a career at first.

From that point, I committed to make dog training my life’s work, to rehabilitate dogs’ minds, and train dog owners to create happier, more balanced dogs by using the theory of ‘Exercise, Discipline, and Affection.’

Respect = Trust = Love

I think dogs are amazing animals. I see them as smart and loving creatures, but they are incredibly misunderstood. Sadly, according to statistics, 3 to 4 million dogs are euthanized every year and I want this to end. It’s part of the reason why I do what I do.

I love working with all breeds and sizes of dogs because I’ve cared for a number of them for as long as I can remember.  I also enjoy helping owners become more aware of their dog’s needs so they can both be happier and more balanced.

By using the principles of setting rules, boundaries and limitations, I’ve successfully trained over 500 dogs, making me one of the leading dog trainers in Palm Beach County and surrounding areas. My track record and the testimonials of many of my clients prove that the principles I apply and my training methods work.

Moreover, during the course of my years of training dogs of all shapes and sizes, I have never given up on any of them regardless of their bad behavior or aggression when they were handed over to my care.

Never giving up on you and your dog is my commitment to anyone who wants to have a happy, healthy, and balanced relationship with their dogs.

My Philosophy: Respect = Trust = Love
If you earn your dog’s respect and trust, all that will follow is love
